Our next breeding will be a repeat of a Woolfarms Skadi/Vinlands Skuggi breeding. This cross has produced many beautiful Icelandic sheepdog Puppies that have went on to be fine companions to many families.
Here at Thrymheim Icelandics we are very committed to our Icelandic sheepdog puppies going to their new families as well adjusted as possible. We keep our puppies here with us until they reach 10 weeks of age, we have found that the extra two weeks gives the pups more confidence and a good beginning on potty training, as well as a good start on the understanding of who is is the pack leader.
Our puppies go to their new homes with their first vaccinations, microchipped, and well loved. Our family spends extensive time with the pups. They are exposed to other dogs, cats, birds, sheep, llamas, as well as a house full of activity.
We have had wonderful feedback from the families that adopt our pups. We would encourage you to use past puppy buyers as references.
Thrymheim's puppies are raised in our kitchen as soon as they are past the neonatal stage.
They are learning to interact with other members of the household from the beginning. They spend time with children as well as adults. They are exposed to all other animals in the house and on the farm.
They not only learn good manners from mom, their littermates, but also from their human pack members. We give the puppies extensive attention. We expose them to their leash, and as they mature, they are slowly exposed to their crate. Most importantly, they are allowed a lot of play time inside and out. When your new family member goes to their new home, we want them to know that YOU are speaking to them!
