This is the latest addition to our pack. Her name is "Saga", and what a precious little girl she is. Saga just arrived from Iceland on September 23rd., and her name suits her, considering the saga to pick her up at customs in New York City on the day the President was in town, then after retrieving Saga we headed toward the quaratine station upstate to pick up our recently imported Icelandic Horse Kubbur. So horse and dog in tow, my sister and I trucked along slowly......as there were a lot of bathroom stops and rest stops for the horse. Saga did so well in the car, loving on us all the way home. Here is the link to Saga's pedigree . Please scroll down for more pictures of Saga.
Our Icelandic Sheepdogs are registered with the AKC, and some with the CKC.
We do health testing on our dogs, that includes testing for hip and eye disorders.
All dogs are evaluated as they mature. Before they can be added to our breeding program we evaluate for temperment, characteristics that comply with the breed standard and do testing for hip and eye disorders.
We breed for puppies that will be wonderful family additions, that will work well in a farm environment, as well as dogs that can be used for events such as agility and showing in the conformation or obedience ring. We do not show our dogs, as we are a working farm and the time is not available to commit to this type of program.
We are in the process of building this page. Updated photos need to be taken, along with the links to pedigrees and health information. This is an exciting page to build, as we have added several dogs to our pack as future prospects for our breeding program.
We would also like to update photographs of our exisiting dogs in our program, as well as photos of past Icelandic Sheepdog puppies.
