Thrymheim Icelandic Sheepdogs

 This is a photo  from one of my trips to Iceland last winter.  I was visiting Hestur Experimental Sheep Station with Steini from Southram.  Steini was teaching a fresh semen AI seminar for local farmers that day.  Hestur is where so many of our lovely AI rams reside.  I learned more in the one visit from the staff at Hestur than I could have expected to have learned in years on my own.  This photo is of their resident "pet' leader ram.  He was large enough to ride, and as docile as a lamb!  So, at this point I had went through the AI class for the fourth time, twice in English and twice in Icelandic!
